Nicola Cioffi research interests are in the field of nanomaterials for the life sciences, including: sensors (gas- & vapour-sensors, biosensors), bio-analysis, mass spectrometry & proteomics research, antibacterial/bioactive nanomaterials, catalysts for green chemistry, etc. Moreover, N.C. has a 10-year experience in the synthesis and analytical characterization of metal nanoparticles, polymers and nanostructured hybrid materials. The scientific production of Nicola Cioffi is documented by 4 invited seminars, 6 book chapters, 76 papers and 2 editorials on peer-reviewed journals and textbooks, 3 European patents, 9 extended abstracts and 132 communications presented at national and international conferences.
